I was eating a cookie before I started typing, this cookie was too good that I had to share it. Chocolate Chip Cookies are the type of cookies you give to a mad significant other or a professor you are trying to impressing because you are failing their class. They are so good that Santa wants ONLY those kinds of cookies on Christmas.
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped nut
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
Start first with preheating the oven to 375ºF. Mix all of the sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. At this point I want add that you don’t need to put nuts or chocolate chips peanut butter chips, almonds, bacon if you are adventurous.
When placing the cookie dough drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
